Mapping risky migration journeys Globally

This map shows migration routes taken by survivors of human trafficking and migrants who experienced exploitation, created using collective data from our civil society partners on the ground. It is the result of our efforts, and the efforts of others, to encourage anti-trafficking organizations to record and share their data in a standard format as part of a global dataset. The routes illustrated so far represent just a fraction of the worldwide picture, and our aim is to continue to fill the gaps and update the information as often as we can.

Please note: All of the data is based on submissions by members. The current survey instrument is focused solely on source, transit, and destination points within and across countries. We are not recording individual cases, but any source and destination routes.

This data gathering is funded by the USAID Asia CTIP program, a seven-year (2016-2023) regional activity that focuses on transnational and regional challenges to combat human trafficking. The program aims to reduce the trafficking of persons in Asia through a coordinated and consolidated action by governments, civil society and business that will foster cross-border cooperation, develop opportunities for private-sector leadership and improve the quality of data associated with human trafficking.
